Take the fostering Test...
Do you enjoy relaxing with a good magazine,
such as HELLO! or OK! ? Well, Foster Families
is a lifestyle magazine aimed directly at foster
carers. That means we feature a range of articles
from decorating your home to healthy living, all
with a focus on fostering.
Other foster carers share their stories, as do children who have been in care, sharing their secrets and giving advice on how best to handle different situations.
Experts in a number of different fields also feature in Foster Families, sharing their tips on things from dealing with sleeping problems to saying goodbye to a foster child you’ve cared for.
There are plenty of competitions to catch your eye too.
At just £7 for a full year’s subscription, Foster Families is the magazine you’ve been waiting for. You can try it out for just £2 per copy, or email subscriptions@fosterfamilies.co.uk for more information.
Subscribe online to make sure you never miss an issue – we’ll deliver it direct to your door!

Approved foster carers go to:
Foster carers are people who look after the children who are not their own.
In the past they were called 'foster parents' but this term is misleading because foster children already have parents. 'Foster carers' is a title that is better suited to the role for foster children, their families and foster carers.
Foster carers can be single or a couple, they do not need to be married. They can be heterosexual or gay. Most fostering agencies welcome applications from people who are in their mid twenties and it is quite common for people to start fostering children up until their 60's.
Often when people are thinking about applying to become foster carers, they make assumptions about what is involved.
For instance, some people think they have to own their home, be in employment, have a high income or have had their own children.
